National Automatic Merchandising Association
Formed in 1936 and comprised of nearly 2,000 members, the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) is the largest national trade association of the automatic merchandising and refreshment services industries. NAMA is guided by its mission to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries.
In 2004, NAMA and its Foundation were assisted by ADS consultants in conducting a successful $4 million capital campaign. In 2012, ADS was again retained to assist with a second $4 million campaign, entitled Positioning for Growth. Through the campaign, NAMA and its foundation were able to strengthen their position as the authoritative voice for the industries they serve and become a catalyst for growth by addressing issues that present the greatest challenges, while simultaneously investing in the areas that present the greatest opportunity for industry growth in the areas of advocacy, research and thought leadership. Within the first 90-days of the campaign, ADS assisted NAMA in securing its first seven-figure investment, which paved the path for a successful public campaign launch.
With the assistance of ADS, NAMA exceeded its goal by  20%, making the Positioning for Growth capital campaign a tremendous accomplishment due to the economic climate and declining revenues the industry had experienced the past several years.
